Most domestic and foreign adoptions require post-placement visits. JFS provide the necessary reports required from Connecticut families on a timely basis.
Each state or foreign country requires a varying number of visits at different time schedules. JFS knows the requirements for each adoptive child.
Depending upon the requirements, some post placement visits can take place in your home, some in the JFS office and some over the telephone. All are written up, shared with you and mailed to the appropriate agency on a timely manner.
If your adoption requires finalization through the Connecticut probate courts, JFS handlers this as well.
